All pupils follow AQA 3702 (English) and 3712 (English Literature).  Only the Higher Tier is taken (Grades D-A*).

Coursework is compulsory for each course of study.  Since some literature currently features on the English syllabus, it is possible to enter some of the coursework for English and English Literature.  English further requires Spoken English to be assessed by means of formal assignments.  Its requirement accounts for 20% of the final mark.

Coursework is deadlined and dates are published in advance.
