KS3 Geography

Details of KS3 Geography

The study of geography stimulates an interest in, and a sense of wonder about places, and helps make sense of a complex and dynamically changing world. It explains how places and landscapes are formed and how people and the environment interact. We build on pupils' own experiences to investigate a wide range of topic areas from the personal to a global scale. By the end of KS3 pupils will have developed an understanding of place, space, scale, interdependence, environmental interaction, cultural understanding and diversity and physical and human processes.

Geography lessons cater for a range of learning preferences and a number of key skills and approaches to teaching are incorporated into our teaching

  • geographical enquiry
